Writing a CV for Poland

Polish CVs are compact and skills-led. A RODO (GDPR) consent clause is standard, photos are common, and a large share of professional roles in Kraków, Warsaw and Wrocław are English-first.

The norms

Length
One to two pages.
Photo
Common.
Personal details
Name, email, phone, city. No PESEL number.
Dates
MM/YYYY.
RODO clause
An explicit consent-to-process clause at the end is expected.

What gets CVs rejected

  • Missing the RODO clause — some recruiters cannot legally keep the CV without it.
  • Overstated English on roles that screen by phone in English.
  • Listing tools without the depth or version actually used.

Template & type

Modern or Compact, photo optional, 11pt.

Language: Polish, with English standard in shared services and tech

Finding the roles

  • Kraków, Warsaw, Wrocław and Tricity concentrate shared services, IT and finance.
  • Many employers hire on B2B contracts as well as employment contracts — clarify which.
  • English-language CVs are normal for international employers.
